IKE banished squirrels from the lawn of the White House because they were ruining his putting green. He commanded his Secret Service valet, “the next time you see one of those squirrels go near my putting green, take a gun and shoot it!”. The secret service, however, decided not murder innocent animals, instead trapping them and releasing them into Rock Creek Park to be hunted by American Bald Eagles. ⠀
Fun Fact:
Despite being the only one of the American Idols attaining the rank of Five Star General, IKE never actually saw combat.
