Walrus held the first-ever American Idols yard sale, selling an old pair of Honest Abe’s pants and one of Quincy’s hats to raise money for new furniture. He hired none other than Louis Comfort Tiffany to redecorate and furnish the White House.⠀
Fun Fact:
Walrus was the first of the American Idols to have a personal valet, probably due in part to the fact that he owned at least 80 pairs of pants, which may not be a lot by today’s standards, it was quite the extravagance back then.
