Ted ‘Theodore’ Roosevelt

1901 – 1909

To sit home, read one’s favorite paper, and scoff at the misdeeds of the men who do things is easy, but it is markedly ineffective. It is what evil men count upon the good men’s doing.
— Ted 'Theodore' Roosevelt

Did you know?

Ted “Theodore” Roosevelt was blind in one eye due to an injury sustained during a boxing match at the White House… yes at the White House. After the loss of his sight, he committed to peaceful activities and took up jiu-jitsu. The famous ‘Teddy Bear’ is named after him; in his harmonious attempt to conquer nature he refused to shoot a bear for a photo-op instead having one of his wards kill the animal.

His idea of getting hold of the right end of the stick is to snatch it from the hands of somebody who is using effectively, and to hit him over the head with it.
— George Bernard Shaw on Ted “Theodore” Roosevelt
